I’ve worked as a senior creative in a number of advertising agencies and corporate in-house creative departments.
For two decades, I worked at Impact BBDO as an Art Director. During my tenure, I produced over 360 ad campaigns on various platforms. These include social media sites, print newspapers, billboards, and digital platforms.
Specifically, the campaigns revolved around my work based on key visuals, layouts, web banners, and social media content. Consequently, for some campaigns, my work also included being a director in a variety of photoshoots in local and international environments. The campaigns focused on conceptual design and were centered around client requirements and, more often, satisfaction. On the occasions when the clients wanted more from the campaign, I worked hard to reform concepts and ideas in the campaign based on recommendations of the clients.
My role focused on the process of turning the page (progression) from basic creative ideas to fully established concepts.
During this transformation process, I focus on three key agendas. First, I see if the idea poses a strong message. Second I see if it can grab viewers’ attention. Lastly, I try to see if it resonates with viewers’ thoughts in an engaging manner. When generating ad campaigns for clients, I believe that the utilization of these agendas significantly aided in the company’s growth in the advertising market. My vision and contribution in generating business pitches for several clients, such as Emirates Airlines, ADCB, Centerpoint, etc, was commendable as it led to them forming new partnerships in advertising accounts with Impact BBDO.
Besides bolstering the scope of my company in the everyday market, I also mentored and worked with young creative professionals on various projects. In this case, my role focused on examining their work in retouching, illustrations, and the overall culmination of their artwork.
From the past 25 years, I can clearly say that the never-ending challenges which arose from working in a creative environment helped me grow as a professional and a person. My experiences made me a humble learner and a confident leader at work and everyday life. In conclusion, my experiences in all these years, helped me learn new concepts and provide valuable contributions to companies. However, I believe after 25 years, my hunger and desire to learn new concepts and contribute to projects in companies from this day and age of digital revolutions are still where it was 25 years ago.

Keep Discovering
The client’s brief introduced a new airline campaign strategy by integrating a new approach towards their image and appeal. Keep discovering’ was the advertising motto for Emirates Airline. The goal was to create inspiration for a unique experience when traveling by Emirates airlines in the future. The campaign was devised in coherence with the airline’s values, philosophy, and personality. Keep discovering was the concept based on passengers creating new memories of new places being discovered – which are waiting to be aerially uncovered as people continue traveling across the globe. So we built a remeblance where we tried comparing the services of a chauffeur-drive with a mother’s human care of her child. Qualities such as safety, human bonds, and comfort can feel indistinguishable between a mother’s care for her child and Emirates’ on-air service experience for customers. Likewise, we derived several other executions which can provide similarities to our service.
(Played a key role as an Art Director during the launch of KEEP DISCOVERING. Worked on major campaigns for Emirates Airlines and Emirates Holidays between 1990 and 2016.
